Remembering my blessings!

Whenever I get stressed or sad, sometimes it's hard to remember all the good things in life! This last week helped me remember all the things, and people I am thankful for! My family always knows how to cheer me up, and make me laugh! Our Thanksgiving, as always, was a hit! Here are some pictures of our festivities!!

Sometimes it takes loosing someone.... to realize how much they meant to you.

I am still in my walking cast... and continue to get new bruises on my ankle. Maybe I should listen to the doctor and take off 3 weeks of soccer like he said to..... nah.

I am currently on 3 medications... an anti-inflammatory for my ankle, an antibiotic for my sinus infection, and the most horrible cough syrup for my gross cough.

and...

It's a Saturday night and I am at home... by myself.. watching tv on the couch. I feel like the biggest loser right now.... and not because I am loosing weight... but because I have no friends!

The Pumpkin Patch!!

Our family went to the pumpkin patch for family home evening this week! It was so fun! We were all together and loved every minute of it! Everyday I am more and more grateful for my family! Obsession...

So... Ever since I graduated from design school in April, I have kind of been burned out and not as obsessed with design as I once was.. but the obsession is back! All I think about is design and I love it!! Here are just a few things that I have been interested in lately... All of these pictures are from 2 of my favorite designers..

In my Rendering and Studio 2 class we had a book that she wrote and ever since I have loved everything she has done! 

2: Liz Wixom

Liz was actually one of my teachers! I had her for my Business of Interior Design class! I love her style! Especially since I know her! It makes you love what she does even more! 

I really like this bedroom.. Mostly the Bed frame..

And... I love this head board! I used to think almost anything tufted was ugly... but now I am a big fan! 

I know this a way random post.. but its about the only thing that has been on my mind lately! Someone give me a house and I'll go crazy! :)

What a great week!! :)

This week has been so much fun! Because it was UEA I only had to work 3 days! So Thursday me, my mom, Jennifer, Belle and Brittany all went shopping in Park City! We were there all day and had so much fun together! I love my sisters!! This is a picture of Baby Belle! ha We found this hat and put it on her! We thought she looked so funny and cute! 

Earlier, on Wednesday I got to go over to Clint's moms house and play with her and Baby Courtney! It was so fun! Courtney is getting so big and is so cute!! It was so good to just go and hang out with them! :) 

Also.. Due to my change in attitude.. I have been working on little crafts and things! I put up this shelf today in my bedroom.. I still have to finish a few things but here is what it looks like right now! I need lots of little things to fill my time! ha So these are the types of things I do! 

I am glad that things are getting better and that I have been happier! I have missed being my happy self! I am so glad I have an amazing family and awesome friends who help me! Only a few more months and life will be back to normal again! :) Let the good times roll! 

Mmm... I'm confused!

I hate not knowing what is going to happen next in my life. I may be a little OCD when it comes to planning ahead.. but seriously...this 'mystery' of a life I am living right now is not good for my health! ha ha... I have a plan.. I have always had a plan.. but then, some days I am not so sure if the 'plan' is really the best 'plan' for me. So then I stress and contemplate it for a few days, and change my mind again! What the crap! I wish I just knew what would happen and I would just know exactly how to live my life! Then it wouldn't matter what other people say, or think, because I wouldn't care! I would know exactly where I was headed.

I am sure this doesn't make sense to anyone but me.. but I just needed to vent.

Trying to Catch Up!

I know I have been a pretty lame Blogger lately! I just haven't really been in the mood! ha ha But so I am just going to kind of catch everyone up on my 

summer! It has been pretty crazy! I was working everyday, and going to school 3 nights a week, and doing my internship 2 days a week! So I was pretty busy! Things have finally calmed down! I decided not to do Fall

 semester and take a break before I 

start my bachelors! So right now I am just working and it has been SO nice!! 

Most of my summer days were spent at work/school, but whenever I could find time... or if I just decided to take a night off and not go to school.. ha ha I was usually BOATING!! It is one of my most favorite things to do and I go as much as I can! Thanks to Kyle for always letting me tag along! This summer I even learned how to back the boat trailer! :) So here are a few boating pictures...

But by far the best part of Summer 2009 was my sister Jennifer had her sweet sweet baby girl, Isabelle Jane Shumway!!!! I am totally in love with this baby!!! She is the sweetest thing ever and is so pretty! She has such long eye lashes and 

makes the cutest noises! She doesn't have much hair.. but that is  partially her moms fault.. and partially the Doctors fault! The Vacuum 

pulled off a lot of it :( Poor baby! But she is still so cute and we love her to pieces!!! We just wish Dave, Jenn and Belle lived closer so we could play with them more! I am so lucky to be an aunt to all nieces and nephews!! I have the greatest family and I am so lucky they all help me so much!!

Wonderful News!!

Drum roll please............... I GOT MY INTERNSHIP!!!!

No one else probably thinks this is as exciting as I do.. but I have been waiting forever to hear back from Miya Design and Interiors about being an intern for them this summer! So today I gave them another phone call to follow up, and Lori, the owner, was so so nice and sounded excited for me to come work for them. She is so willing to work with my crazy schedule and I am so happy! This takes so much stress off of life! I am so happy! I hope I will do a good job, and I can remember all my Interior Design knowledge??? if I have any... ha ha But anyway.. I am just so happy I thought I would share with everyone! If any of you need some designing advice over the summer be sure to come visit me at Miya Design in Syracuse! :)

Memorial Day!

Every year for memorial day my family goes up to Morgan to visit all the Francis graves! I love going up there! It is so pretty and I mostly love just being with my family! This year it was a little sad because it was the first year since my grandpa passed away, but it is so good to know he is with his sweet wife again! And the rest of his family! :) Anyway, after we went up the the cemetery we all came back to my house for a BBQ! It was so fun to just hang out as a family and all be together! At one point all of my siblings were all home at the same time! That doesn't happen very much, so when it does it is really fun! :) But here are some pictures! I hope everyone had a good weekend! The Family! :) All we are missing is Jeff & Aimee, and Camille and her family!

I did it!! I can't believe I really finished! This last weekend me and my sister Brittany ran the Woman of Steel Triathlon! It was so fun! It started off with a short 300 meter swim, then a 12.5 mile bike ride, and then finished with a 3.2 mile run. The hardest part for me was the transition from the bike to the run, because my body was so confused! ha ha.. but overall it wasn't too bad and it was SOO much fun! I can't wait to be in another one! I didn't know I would like being in a race so much! I plan to run a few more races this summer! Here are just a couple of pictures my mom took! It was so fun to have her come and watch! Also, thank you Jennifer for letting me and Britt sleep at your house the night before the race! You are the best! :)

New Babies!

Seth and Heidi had their sweet little girl tonight! Courtney Kay Waddoups! I am sure they will post lots of pictures and tell all about her on their blog, but I just wanted to tell them congratulations! She is a beautiful baby and licks her lips like a lizard! :) I am so happy she is here finally! Seeing her made me so excited for my sister Jennifer and her husband Dave to have their baby in just a couple months!! I am so lucky to have sisters who have babies! ha I love it!! 

Happy Mothers Day to all of you moms out there!! I can't wait to be a mom one day! I hope my mom knows how much I love her! I am so lucky to have a mother who has always taught me what is right, and has stood by me in my hardest times! She is always concerned about me and only wants the best for me! I couldn't ask for anyone better than my mommy!!

So... I am a little late..

I am sorry it has taken me so long to post about my trip to Hawaii to visit Brittany! Once I got back from my trip I had to start working full time at the school, and I have been so tired! ha It sounds so pathetic but i really do think it is easier to go to school full time and work, rather than just work full time! ha ha But my trip was a blast!! I didn't want to come home! Each morning started early with breakfast in Britt's apartment, then swim suites were put on and off we went! We spent our time sailing, at the PCC and Pearl Harbor, hiking to and jumping off waterfalls, running, swimming in the OCEAN, surfing, shopping, listening to whales, eating shave ice and watching Korean soap operas! ha ha.. It was a very relaxing, fun filled trip and I was so happy to be with my sister!! Here are a few pictures! I hope you like them!

PS. my triathlon is next Saturday! I am pretty sure I might die! Wish me luck! I am REALLY scared!!! I will let you all know how it goes!
