Memorial Day Weekend

On Saturday we kicked of the weekend by taking a drive up to Morgan to visit the graves of my grandparents. Dottie's middle name is Jean after both my Dad's mom and my mom's mom. I always love driving to Morgan. I have never lived in Morgan, but part of me has always felt like it is home. My dad also really loves Morgan, so being able to go up there this weekend made me feel a little closer to him (&my mom). The cemetery up there has the prettiest view. I love visiting Morgan.

On Sunday we carried on the tradition of driving down to Manti to stay over night to visit the graves there, with Matt's family. I always appreciate the good excuse to take a visit to "our temple". We had told Lucy that's where we were married, and it was the sweetest thing hearing her repeat it, and singing I love to see the temple as we drove around it. The day was mostly rainy in the morning, but we still had a great time together.

Random May Happenings

While at Costco we ran into Belle and Repunzel. Lucy was so excited to see them! She has been really into Beauty and the Beast lately, and so she was especially happy that Belle was there.
Every day Lucy wants to hold "sissy" and is so good at it! She is so careful and so sweet to her baby sister! It is the best thing ever.

With all this crazy rain, Dottie has been taking advantage of her sweat suit! haha I love it!

2 months old! Dottie was 2 months on May 7th. I took her to the doctor for her shots a week later, and it was the SADDEST thing on the planet. Lucy always did well with shots. She cried when they poked her but then was fine as soon as we left the office. Dottie on the other hand, cried and cried and cried for HOURS after getting them. Any time her legs moved she would just scream. It was so heartbreaking. Thankfully after that night, she felt much better. But we are not looking forward to her 4 month appointment. :(

At 2 months, Dottie weighed 10 lbs 11.5 oz,  and she is 21.75 inches long.
Weight: 26%
Height: 12%
Head: 76%

It has taken us a very long time to get Lucy to go to bed on her own, without one of us laying by her. She usually falls asleep while reading stories to herself and her barbie. I love this cute girl so much.

While on maternity leave, Lucy and I were able to go walking in the mornings with our friends Katie and Henry (and baby Claire and Dottie). Lucy and Henry are the cutest friends and I love watching them play together. Any excuse to hang out with them is good enough for me! :)

My favorite ladies!

A Name and a Blessing

On Sunday May 3, 2015 Matt gave our sweet Dottie such a sweet and beautiful blessing. I am so very thankful for such a wonderful husband, who is a worthy priesthood holder. Matt is a sucker for his little girls, and his heart is so sensitive to their needs. Dotties blessing was perfect. Matt blessed Dottie with,
...health and strength - that you will have an able body to accomplish the goals you set forth.
...a thirst for knowledge - excel in your schooling.
...to be led by the spirit to the answers to the questions you have.
...to look to the scriptures when questions arise.
...a love for your family.
...a strong relationship with your sister and know of the love she has for you.
look to her for an example as well as your mother.
...find a worthy Priesthood holder to take you to the House of the Lord that you might benefit from the blessings you receive there.

It was beautiful and perfect and my heart is so full. I love my little family so much!

Matt's Graduation

On May 1, 2015 Matt officially graduated from Weber State University with a Bachelors degree in Accounting.
I am so proud of him.

He has been working so hard, spending SOOO many hours studying and working on assignments, all while working and being the best husband and dad possible. We are so lucky to have him. This has been a long time coming and we are both so happy he is done! Even though I tried to pressure Matt to walk in his graduation, he wanted to spend the day with his family instead! So he & his siblings & parents, took the day off work and we all went to the zoo to celebrate! It was so much fun to be together and to be able to hang out all day long without feeling any stress of homework or studying. It was such a great day and I am so lucky to be married to such a sweet, handsome and smart boy!
I sure love you Matty! Thank you for sacrificing so much for our little family. We know it wasn't easy, but we are so thankful!

Pictures from my phone..

When Dottie was close to 6 weeks old, we started to get some real smiles from her. She usually has a grumpy look on her face, so it is nice to see that she isn't totally miserable haha.

Matching... err i mean, Coordinating outfits! haha

Dottie loves taking a bath. She loves to just sit in the water and kick around. Even though the picture of her in the tub, doesn't look like it, she is quite pleased to be there!

Dottie is following in her sisters footsteps, she also has a herniated belly button. Her's isn't quite as bad as Lucy's was, but still pokes out a bit! Lucy thinks its fun to push it back in.. haha

My sweet, funny, sassy Lucy!

And this chubby cheeser!
